Terms
Written in plain English. If anything here is unclear, email help@heavenlyfinanceguides.com and we will explain it.
1. Who we are
Heavenly Finance publishes written guides about money matters in the United States. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Heavenly Finance, and “you” means the person using the site.
2. What you get
A membership gives you access to every guide in the library while your membership is active, including the printable PDF and checklist for each guide, and any updates we make while you are a member. Some guides are free to read without an account.
3. What this is not
Our guides are general information, not financial, tax, legal, insurance or medical advice. We do not know your situation, and reading a guide does not make us your adviser. Rules change and can be applied differently in your case. Before you act on anything important, check with the agency involved or with a qualified professional.
4. Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself. One membership is for you and the people in your household, not for sharing publicly or reselling. Tell us if you think someone else has got into your account and we will help you secure it.
5. Price, payment and renewal
A membership costs $19.99 a year or $2.99 a month, as shown on the pricing page when you join. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. On your card statement the charge appears as HEAVENLYFINANCEGUIDES.
Your membership renews automatically at the same price until you cancel: once a year on the yearly plan, every month on the monthly plan. We email you before a yearly renewal. If we ever change the price, we will tell you by email first, and the change will only apply from your next renewal.
6. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your account page: press “Cancel my plan” and confirm. Your membership then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and does not renew after that. We will never ask you to telephone us or write a letter to cancel.
7. Refunds
If you are not happy, email us within 30 days of a payment and we will refund it in full, no questions asked. After 30 days, ask us anyway: if something has gone wrong, we would rather put it right.
8. Using the guides
Read them, print them, and use them for yourself and your household. Please do not post them publicly, sell them, or feed them into another service for republication. We keep the copyright in everything we write.
9. If the site is unavailable
We do our best to keep the library online, but we cannot promise it will never be down. If an outage is long enough to matter, tell us and we will extend your membership to make up for it.
10. Ending an account
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may close an account that is being used to abuse the service, to harass us, or to republish our guides, and if we do we will refund whatever you have paid for time you have not used.
11. Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, our responsibility to you for anything connected with this site is limited to what you have paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law gives you and does not let us take away.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we will email you before the change takes effect. The date below tells you when this page was last updated.
13. Getting in touch
Email help@heavenlyfinanceguides.com. A real person reads every message.
14. Which law applies
We are a Canadian business publishing for readers in the United States. These terms are governed by the law of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Nothing here removes the consumer protections of the state or country you live in, and you can always bring a claim where you live.
